Role Summary:

• The Global PK-PD & Bioanalysis Associate Scientist II - III provides analytical support for biotherapeutic projects. The bioanalytical functions will include (but are not limited to) the development, validation, and conduct of immunoassays for the determination of drug in biological matrices, assessment of drug immunogenicity, and development of relevant biomarker assays under minimal supervision. Familiarity with GLP regulations is a plus.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop immunochemical and cell-based assays for measurement of potential pharmacodynamic markers in biological matrices such as whole blood, serum and/or plasma

• Develop and qualify cell-based immunogenicity assays for measurement of neutralizing anti-drug antibodies in serum and/or plasma

• Conduct bio-analytical sample analysis in support of Non-GLP and GLP pharmacology and toxicology in vivo studies

• Conduct bio-analytical sample analysis for clinical studies

• Utilize multiple technology platforms including Fluorescent Imaging, FACS, MSD and colorimetric or luminescent plate readers

• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures, validation protocols and reports

• Review literature in support of pharmacodynamic marker identification and utilize creative and analytical capabilities to troubleshoot and implement challenging or innovative assays


Associate Scientist I:

· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in biological science or related field

· Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience (2-5 years with Master's Degree)

Associate Scientist II:

· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in biological science or related field

· Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience (5-8 years with Master's Degree)


• Strong background in immunochemical and cell-based assay development, including experience with ELISA and flow cytometry methods, cell culture techniques, and general knowledge of antibodies

• Experience with MSD technology and/or Fluorescent Microscopy a plus

• Experience working with biological matrices such as whole blood, serum and plasma a plus

• Knowledge of assay validation guidelines and GLP regulations a plus

• Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and graphical computer programs (MS EXCEL, MS WORD, Graphpad Prism, for example) required

• Good organizational, documentation and technical writing skills required
