The Senior Technical Analyst will provide process development and system support, under minimal supervision, in one or more of the following technical areas: desktop, telecom, networks, servers, messaging, LAN, security, and job scheduling.

This includes:

  • Hardware/Software and Customer Support (60%)
    • Proactively monitor call queues and prioritize daily activities
    • Provide routine support on hardware and software problems
    • Provide support for technical area of support
    • Provide 24 hour on call support as required
    • Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components
  • Documentation and Monitoring (15%)
    • Identify technical support trends; determine root cause and potential solutions
    • Participate in the development of life cycle management processes and recommend improvements
  • Employee and Vendor Relations (10%)
    • Provide technical guidance to other staff members
    • Participate with break/fix vendor management
  • Participate on project teams as needed. (15%)
  • Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and apply good problem-solving techniques
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, internals, peripherals, and software on platforms supported.
  • Good understanding of validated or quality systems
  • Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel 25% or less may be required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or 10+ years of relevant technical work experience
  • 3+ years technical experience in hardware and network support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification (Cisco)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech
