The Regional Business Partner USBU is a leadership position within Takeda s IS/IT team. This position will play a lead role in defining the IT strategic imperatives supporting the US Business Unit and driving the implementation of IT solutions in alignment with the US Business Unit and Global IS/IT strategies. The Regional Business Partner USBU is a cross-functional matrix team leader and, in collaboration and partnership with business executive leadership and IT stakeholders, is accountable for the development and implementation of IT solutions required to achieve the strategic imperatives of the US Business Unit.
Provide leadership and manages the strategic relationships between US Business unit executive leadership and IS/IT.
Lead productive and ongoing exchanges of information between the US Business Unit stakeholders, IT service delivery and demand management.
Insure IT capabilities required to support the US Business Unit strategic imperatives are implemented and aligned with the Global IS/IT strategy and roadmap.
Manage IT budget and controls financial materials, effectively and efficiently, ensuring operational continuity and IT objectives are met.
Reports to Head Regional Business Partners Americas.
Owns strategic relationships between USBU commercial business unit leadership: Specialty, General Medicine and Managed Markets Executive leadership.
Leads productive and ongoing exchanges of information between USBU Specialty, General Medicine and Managed Markets Executive leadership and IT service delivery.
Owns strategic IT roadmaps for USBU Specialty, General Medicine and Managed Markets business areas. Insures they are aligned with business priorities/outcomes for associated business group and aligned/incorporated with global IT roadmaps and financial plans.
Owns consolidation and management of the IT project portfolio (demand management) for USBU Specialty, General Medicine and Managed Markets business areas, considering top down programs and initiatives as well as bottom up projects and requirements insuring business outcomes are achieved within expectations.
Participate in Specialty, General Medicine, Managed Markets and other USBU leadership team meetings to provide insight into business needs and potential IT opportunities.
Establishes and maintains effective collaborative relationships with IT leaders across the Global IS/IT organization.
More than 7 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry or the drug development business.
Extensive experience in leading teams, participating in global teams and working within a matrix organization.
Professional in-depth knowledge across different disciplines, knowledge of relevant business solutions and experience with implementing business solutions.
Portfolio and project management experience.
Business relationship management skills; ability to connect with, influence and impact local management and stakeholders.
Experience within or supporting a pharmaceutical commercial organization.
Excellent ability to work independently but seek management support and guidance as needed.
Excellent skills in building multi-functional relationships via strong collaboration, communication and negotiation skills.
MBA or related advanced degree.
