the opportunity:

We are searching for a Business Development Director to drive new sales across TSP's full suite of services (Search, RPO, HR, Consulting & Assessment). The BD Manager / Director will be responsible for researching and generating sales leads, managing external communication with current and potential clients, designing and presenting solutions, negotiating pricing and contracts; ultimately driving new business revenue for TSP. This position will be field based in the western U.S. The ideal candidate would reside in San Diego, San Francisco, Phoenix or Denver.

day-to-day:

  • Responsible for driving and delivering gross profit within assigned territory
  • Support and strategize with tsp leadership to determine weekly / monthly sales targets and metrics
  • Research main points-of-contact at target organizations and maintain updated target list
  • Responsible for keeping CRM up-to-date with all relevant sales activities
  • Develop proposals and presentations for potential clients
  • Frequent travel within assigned territory to meet face-to-face with prospects (we expect about 50% travel)
  • Responsible for negotiating pricing and contracts


Requirements

Ideal professional background:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Marketing, Business, Human Resources or Life Science related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience selling directly related services or selling to HR leadership
  • Relationships with key leadership in the life sciences industry preferred
  • Previous experience selling RPO or HR consulting services
  • Must be a hunter with the ability to bring in new contacts
  • Knowledge of healthcare and life science industries


preferred skills:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • E-mail Marketing tools
  • Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Self-starter, think outside of the box attitude
  • Intermediate social media skills: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
  • Previous experience selling RPO or HR consulting services
