About the department

In Novo Nordisk’s People & Organization department, you will contribute to a team dedicated to the goal of defeating diabetes worldwide. The position

We are seeking two dynamic and strategic human resources business partners to join our growing organization. One role will be in our DAPI facility and the other will be in our DFP facility. In this position, you will serve one or more senior leadership teams by linking people strategy & performance, driving HR programs, & coaching managers at all levels. In addition, you will lead local & corporate organizational & leadership development programs. You should be a proactive communicator and change agent, someone who can successfully balance employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions and champion the Novo Nordisk Way.   • Coach site management/Leadership Development
  • Help managers & employees develop leadership competencies
  • Coaching people managers for quality & execution timeliness for HR processes: current issues & solutions, change management & communications support, talent management, performance appraisals, individual development plan execution, employee opinion survey results plus team development plans, performance interventions, candidate selection, exit interviews & turnover analysis, job description development, new management orientation
  • Organizational consulting & future planning
  • eVoice employee opinion survey planning & execution
  • Other duties: Novo Nordisk Way ( modeling & teaching the values), training, promoting diversity, training needs assessment, new employee orientation segments, meeting planning & co-facilitation
  • Execute local & corporate HR projects/programs effectively & efficiently
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other specialist duties (process championship roles) as assigned to support fellow partners & the business

You will need a BA/BS in human resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience. A MA/MS is preferred and PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organization
  • Previous management experience a plus

Physical and other requirements:
  • Ability to move throughout the facility to interact with people managers & employees in the normal office & manufacturing environment
  • Requires flexibility to work whatever hours are required for execution of duties in a 24/7 operation, including some evenings &/or weekends to meet with shift management & employees
  • Overnight travel required on occasion

Additional information about our expansion

To help meet the growing demand for our diabetes treatment, Novo Nordisk expects to double production of diabetes drugs over the next decade. Novo Nordisk is currently building a new diabetes API plant in Clayton, NC next to our existing facility that employs 800 people. The new plant will initially employ 700 employees to produce the active ingredients for a new diabetes oral treatment and a range of other diabetes drugs.
