Job Description Purpose
This position is responsible for partnering with managers and employees to provide comprehensive HR Services, support and leadership. Responsibilities include: recruiting, fostering positive employee relations, performance management, and team development.

Reports to the Manager, Human Resources & Staffing. Internal stakeholders include Novo Nordisk Inc. Human Resources, Headquarter People and Organization colleagues in Research and Development, US Research site employees and Research Operations staff. External stakeholders include various vendor relationships responsible for managing a variety of Human Resources Services.

Essential Functions
Manage all aspects of the recruiting process which includes: creation of open requisition, gaining approvals, advertising, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and making job offers. Support new employees once the offer has been made including setting up relocation benefits and new employee set-up. Work with other Novo Nordisk (NN) offices to establish comprehensive development programs at the site. Creating annual advertising and recruitment sourcing plans. Representing US Research sites at career and job fairs. Work directly with department leaders to create short and long-term staffing plans. Maintain various HR department reports and KPI metrics. Assist in maintaining up-to-date job descriptions for all positions, as well as the site career ladder. Administer the employee engagement programs. Working with other NN offices to maintain the HRIS systems with accurate information for both applicants and employees as well as maintain accurate organizational charts. Assist with employee events as needed. Promotes a customer-centered culture emphasizing outstanding service and meets commitments to the organization. Actively participates in all other Human Resources initiatives and programs as assigned. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes. Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others.

Physical Requirements
Approximately 10% overnight travel.

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related Human Resources experience
* 6+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources
* Must have at least two (2) years of corporate recruiting experience
* Prefer prior recruiting software experience
* Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (both oral and written) as well as the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment
* Demonstrate attention to complex details, execution and follow through
* Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems/issues by using sound judgment consistent with policies and practices
* Must be able to maintain confidential information and work effectively in a team environment
* Must be able to work effectively with a variety of client groups, build supportive relationships and establish trust and credibility in relating to others
* Expertise with current software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications)
