The Market Access Head of Strategy, Operations, and Finance will be a key leadership team member of the Market Access department and the primary point person responsible for shaping the overall Market Access business unit strategy as well as ensuring its optimal execution including the planning and control of the $130 million Market Access budget. The Leader is responsible for enhancing the Market Access unit s overall operational performance across all of the primary functions of the unit: account management, pricing and contracting strategy, access strategy and product commercialization and patient services. This role is also responsible for instituting clear financial and operational performance objectives for the Market Access business unit. The Leader will also need engage with multiple internal and external partners to meet the requirements of this role. The Leader will be the point person to NVS Finance to ensure the efficient performance of the business operations of the unit. In addition to direct responsibility for the management of several teams as noted in the Core requirements below, to be successful in this role, the Leader will need to consult to, lead and integrate multiple cross-functional project teams to drive the strategic transformation of the department over the neDrive Market Access Operational Excellence across all key capabilities for the department Collaborate with Market Access Head and LT to formulate strategy and tailored action plans to optimize key department capabilities o Employ holistic approach to encompass both internal and external partners business capability (information and process) integration needs Apply LEAN operating principles to recapture the capacity in all roles (but especially the strategy roles) to enable a more proactive operating model Serve as Strategic Thought Partner and Business Process Leader for Head and Market Access LT members Assist Head of Market Access/Leadership Team to drive transformational change of function Collaborate with Market Access Head and MA LT to enable a comprehensive Accountability management capability for Market Access as a whole Lead design, development and operational support of PA Decision Support Systems (DSS) as well as manage related analytic talent Market Access Finance & Communications Support (2 direct FTEs) Responsible for the development and compliance with the $130 million annual budget for Market Access Support routine (day to day) operations of the department (approx. 350 FTEs) including: o Communications o Team Meetings o Calendar Coordination o LT Meeting Agenda and Management o Budgets and financial planning Provide Strategy and Operations Support for Account Management Teams (4 direct FTEs) Scope includes: Payor, PBMs, Systems of Care account management teams Establish and Manage the Market Access Strategic Assessment and Planning Team (2 direct FTEs) Design and stand up the new Market Access Strategic Assessment and Planning team Manage Established Medicines Team (2 direct FTEs plus 2 contractors) Lead and direct the team in conduct of all duties related to the performance objectives of the Established Medicines Team Covering over 25 products currently including Diovan and Focalin XR with gross sales of over $500 MM in FY 2017xt three to five years.

Graduate degree required, preferably in business or finance; MBA preferred Minimum 10 years commercial experience, preferably with multi-functional experience in a pharmaceutical environment such as: oBusiness analysis; financial management; strategic planning experience o Sales and sales management experience o Operations experience o Brand/product marketing experience and understanding of the marketing processes; previous managed markets experience; thorough knowledge of the integrated healthcare system. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Strong at managing top & bottom line and making financial trade-offs. Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and external factors impacting the market. Excellent project management and problem solving skills. Proven ability to understand, track, analyze and leverage data into building effective strategies and business plans. Demonstrated ability to self-start and proactively initiate. Exceptional time management, planning, organizational, negotiating and influencing skills, Travel as required.
